The previews for Revolutionary Road looked like a quick cure for insomnia so I missed that one. Road to Perdition was just way too dark and dreary. American Beauty has it all. For one thing we get to see Kevin Spacey act his way around everyone else on the screen. I’ve seen it countless times and will watch it any time at all.

Lookout, The (2007) IMDB rating: 7.40 Plot: An admired high school hockey player (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) with a bright future foolishly takes a drive in the night with his girl friend and two other friends with his headlights off with devastating results. The former athlete is left with a brain injury that prevents him from remembering many things for extended periods of time. To compensate, he keeps notes in a small notebook to aid him in remembering what he is to do. He also lives with a blind friend (Jeff Daniels) who aids him. Obviously, with the mental incapacitation, he is unable to have meaningful work. Thus he works as a night cleaning man in a bank. It is there he comes under the scrutiny of a gang planning to rob the bank. The leader (Matthew Goode) befriends him and gets him involved with a young woman (Isla Fisher) who further reels him in. After they get close and after reeling him in with his own failures, the bank plan unfolds. Confused but wanting to escape his current existence, he initially goes along with the scheme. After realizing he is being used, he attempts to stop the robbery, which of course immediately goes awry. Bruce McGill and Alberta Watson also co-star as the young man’s parents, who still search for the person that was there before the tragic crash.

As a parent I want a babysitter who will have fun with my children. I want my children to have fun. I also expect the babysitter to play games or watch a movie or do something with my kids. I also want someone who is responsible and not going to invite friends/boyfriends over or spend their time on the phone.

I’m a babysitter so to answer your question playing with them usually goes a lot smoother. Interact with them don’t just sit around and let them wonder especially if they’re younger. Playing with them isn’t necessary so don’t worry, let them do their own thing just keep an eye on them. If they’re little make sure they don’t grab anything small they can place in their mouths and if they’re older just let them do what they normally do while their parents are around. But always make sure to keep an eye on them. Don’t worry you’ll do fine I’m sure! hope it helps

the children look for someone who will pay attention to them. Try what they want, or suggest things that would be fun for them. try not to say no, but offer something different instead.
from the parents perspective, someone who is on time, who is attentive, and neat (in appearance and organization) will help earn a good first impression. after the first impression, someone who will play with the child not put on a movie/tv is a definite plus.

I’m a babysitter and i babysit for two different family’s, one of the family’s their kids are just little spoiled brats, who have everything and do not appreciate it, and talk back and are very very rude so I just let them play as long as they are being good. The other family though raised their kids right and they are very polite and say please and thank you and i love playing with these kids, we play Lego’s and video games, and we will play star wars in the back yard i have a blast when i’m over there. It just depends on what type of kids you get stuck with or what type of kids you get blessed with.

Who can I sue for a defective Dreamcatcher?
I thought these things were supposed to keep you from having bad dreams. Ever since I hung mine up, I’ve had nothing but nightmares. I want to sue.
It’s becoming detrimental to my health. If I don’t sleep, I can’t be productive.
What if there’s no sunlight streaming thru my windows? What if I have no windows? Then what?
DAMN IT! I forgot all about Trask. Guess there goes my case.
Aww crap. *slaps forehead* Exactly 23 minutes? I was dancing naked for 25. Guess I got so excited about being naked, I over did it. It’s all gone down the tubes.

a question about these two movies: the Shawshank Redemption and the Count of Monte Cristo?
What is a good conclusion about the comparison between the prisons in these two movies: The Shawshank Redemption and the Count of Monte Cristo?
How did the prisoners (Andy Dufresne and Edmund Duntes) felt after and before getting rescued?

i can only speak for shawshank redemption. andy dufresne felt helpless because all the evidence was pointing towards him. obviously he knew himself was innocent but the law and jury weren’t on his side. there was nothing he can do.

once he discovered the type of rock that composed the prison walls, he suddenly had hope. he knew he could eventually break out if he had patience, determination and careful planning. it’s this hope that carried him through all those years in prison. in the end, we get a piece of his life philosophy in the letter he wrote to red. "hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. and good things never die."

so, from helpless frustration to hopeful endeavor, making the best of the worst situation.

one of my favorite movies of all time.

Both prisons were fairly primitive: made of stone, bars, and the treatment of prisoners, such as the food they ate (remember when Andy got his first plate it had a huge maggot in it and Duntes was eating basically slop. The stone and mortar was so old that it was easy, relatively speaking, for the two men to escape (compared to modern jails/prisons). The guards were more or less the same (huge jerks), etc.

Both characters were wrongly imprisoned, and after having years to reflect on the fact of their misery at being wrongly incarcerated, they used their experiences (both positive and negative) as hope in order to set a course for liberation. And once they, by their own methods, escaped, they both used their newly won freedom to their advantage, but in different ways: Dufresne escaped to a place that would help him to try and forget about the confinement and the cold of the prison, hence the open beach and the expanse of the Pacific, but also got revenge at the injustices that befell him by the warden and the guards (exposing their money laundering and murder) and then washing his hands of it, whereas Duntes kept his confinement close to him, and used it as "fuel" to transform himself so that he could plan/get perfect revenge. Dufresne humbled himself, but kept his pride within himself, inside, and Duntes created an external persona of pride and wealth to help him achieve his goal. Not sure where his humble aspect is, as it’s been a long time since i have seen it.

Of course, if i know some of the points upon which you are concluding, i might could offer more accurate package of tied-together points for an appropriate conclusion. This is the first thing that came to me, though. If i think of anything else significant, i’ll post again.

Oh yeah, and Shawshank references Monte Cristo.
